The amount of carbon storage and the dynamics of carbon were studied in a seasonal evergreen forest. Thailand based on the monitoring of forest dynamics in a 2.5 ha plot from 1993 to 2005. The total carbon amount in the forest was estimated to be 361 Mg C/ha and biomass, coarse woody debris (CWD), fine litter and soil organic matter accounted for 74.2, 10.3, 2.5 and 13.3% of the total, respectively. The estimates of NEPs based on the two different approaches for the same periods were a little different but the values changed in parallel with each other. It was concluded that the forest was in a state of dynamic equilibrium and was nearly neutral in carbon balance.
