To examine the effect of clear cutting on evaporation and soil moisture, and to measure transpiration in the open and under the forest canopy.

บทคัดย่อ :

Whilst preparing for the installation of the micro-meteorological system to investigate climatic parameters in a dry-evergreen forest at the ASRCT Sakacrat Experiment Station, Amphoe Pak Thong Chai, Changwat Nakhon Ratchasima, an existing clearing had to be extended for the site of one of the pair of towers supporting sensors in the system. An extensive biomass study was undertaken during the clearing operation, and it was decided to make a preliminary investigation of evaporation and transpiration whilst this study was in progress.
