Microbial; Surface waters

Microbial study of the surface waters within the core area of Sakaerat Experiment Station in north-eastern Thailand, was conducted during November 1967 to October 1968. It is a part of interdisciplinary study of a dry-evergreen tropical forest environment. Microbial analyses were made on water samples collected from dams on two tributaries of the main stream draining the core area. The microbial content of the water was found to fluctuate during the year. The presence of coliform bacteria as indicator of microbial pollution was also determied. Attempts were made to correlate the fluctuation of microbial content of the water with the amount of rainfall during the year.

การศึกษาจุลินทรีย์ในน้ำผิวดินภายในพื้นที่หลักของสถานีวิจัยสิ่งแวดล้อมสะแกราชในภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือของประเทศไทย ได้ดำเนินการระหว่างเดือนพฤศจิกายน 1967 ถึงตุลาคม 1968 ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการศึกษาเกี่ยวกับสภาพแวดล้อมป่าดิบแล้ง การวิเคราะห์จุลินทรีย์โดยนำตัวอย่างน้ำที่เก็บจากอ่างเก็บน้ำบนลำธารสองสายที่เป็นสาขาของลำธารหลักที่ไหลผ่านพื้นที่หลัก พบว่าปริมาณจุลินทรีย์ในน้ำมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงตลอดทั้งปี การมีแบคทีเรียโคลิฟอร์มซึ่งเป็นตัวบ่งชี้มลพิษจากจุลินทรีย์ก็ได้รับการตรวจพบเช่นกัน พยายามทำการหาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างการเปลี่ยนแปลงของปริมาณจุลินทรีย์ในน้ำกับปริมาณฝนที่ตกในแต่ละปี
