บทคัดย่อ :
A total of 15 isolates of actinomycete strains belonged to family Streptosporangiaceae, isolated from Thai soil were screened for xylan degradation. The strain of DMKUA 245, which is a novel strain thermotolerant Microbispora siamensis DMKUA 245T, showed the largest clear zone on xylan agar medium and produced the highest extracellular xylanase when incubated at temperature of 40oC. Statistically-based experimental design, Plackett-Burman design, was applied to optimize the fermentation for the production of xylanase by this strain. Among five variable tested; casein, MgSO4.7H2O and temperature were shown to be significantly affected on xylanase production. The concentration of 0.5 g/l of casein, 0.3 g/l of MgSO4.7H2O and temperature of 45 degrees Celsius were optimal
